Mini Candy Apples


3 granny smith apples
1.5 cups of caramels
2 tbsp of heavy cream
2 tsp salted butter
small wooden skewers

sprinkles, crushed oreos, nerds, mini m&m’s, crushed nuts, dried coconut,

Line a pot on low-medium heat with butter. Add your caramels and stir slowly with a whisk slowly raising the heat to medium, be careful not to scorch the caramel, be patient. Once it starts to break down add the cream and stir until it all melts. Once it has all melted turn off the heat and leave on the stove.

Working quickly use a large melon scooper, scoop out balls from the green apples. Place them on a wooden skewers and coat with your caramel sauce, lay upright on a plate or tray lined with wax paper and allow to cool. If you would like to add any toppings do some carefully after you coat the apples with the caramel.
