Air Fryer Salmon Bowls with fresh Teriyaki Sauce
Always great for lunch or dinner but don’t forget about meal prep! These teriyaki salmon bowls are perfect for your weekly meal prep. Lunch at work will never be boring. For timing efficiency, you can make the teriyaki sauce while air frying the salmon, or if you prefer, make the teriyaki sauce ahead of time. Serves 2-4 Ingredients For the Salmon Bowls: 2-4 (6 oz) filets of Salmon 2-4 cups cooked brown rice or white rice Oil for spraying Salt Black pepper For the Teriyaki Sauce: 1/4 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon sesame oil 1 Tablespoon rice vinegar , or white vinegar 1 teaspoon cornstarch 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger , or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger Toppings ideas for salmon bowls: Edamame soy beans Avocado Carrots Cucumber Crispy seaweed Shredded cabbage Sliced red onions Sesame seeds |
We recommend letting the oven preheat for 5-7 minutes for maximum crispiness when using Air Fry. __ Note there is no preheat indicator bar when using Air Fry.
Directions
1. Make the teriyaki sauce: Combine all the teriyaki sauce ingredients in a saucepan (soy sauce, water, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, corn starch, and ginger). Whisk to completely combine.
2. Heat over medium-high heat and bring to a simmer, stirring frequently. Simmer for 1-2 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Set aside.
3. Preheat oven to 400°F on Air Fry Mode.
4. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet pan. Lay salmon filets on baking sheet pan and spray with oil. Season tops of salmon with salt and pepper.
5. Air fry at 400°F for about 8-10 minutes or until salmon is cooked to your liking.
6. Divide the rice into individual serving bowls. Add salmon and top with your favorite toppings. Drizzle teriyaki sauce over the salmon and toppings.
